Looming ahead this fall is the one year anniversary of the spiffy new site of the Cartoon Art Museum on Beach Street near Aquatic Park where you can revel in the work of the 7,000 pieces in their collection. Their store is stocked with posters and graphic novels and don’t miss their special exhibits like the current one of Jim Starlin the artist and writer of Marvel Comics, who created the inimitable Captain ┬áMarvel and Warlock. Thrill your grandkids this Saturday with a parent/child cartooning class from 11:30 to 1. Museum admission for seniors $6.
